When and where is Celebrate Roanoke?

Celebrate Roanoke will take place Saturday, October 10, 2026, on Oak Street in downtown Roanoke from 12 - 10 PM. The festival spans multiple blocks of downtown, with the Main Stage located at 500 South Oak Street. View the event map on our website for locations and event details.

Is there an admission fee?

No! Celebrate Roanoke is free to attend, including the concert, rodeo, and most event activities, thanks to our generous sponsors. Some independently operated activities, such as Mutton Bustin’, may have a participation fee. Food, drinks, and merchandise will also be available for purchase.

Free public parking is available throughout downtown Roanoke. Please use designated event parking areas and follow posted signage. Handicap parking is available in several event parking areas. The Main Street parking lot near 204 Main Street will be reserved for handicap parking only during the event. We recommend arriving early for the best availability.

Will food and drinks be available?

Yes! Food and beverages will be available from festival vendors, along with Roanoke’s many downtown restaurants. Visit our event website for a full list of participating vendors, restaurants, and businesses.

Can I bring food, drinks, chairs, blankets, or coolers?

Yes. Guests may bring outside food, nonalcoholic beverages, chairs, blankets, and coolers. Glass containers and outside alcoholic beverages are prohibited.

Well-behaved, leashed pets are welcome. Please consider large crowds, live music, livestock, and loud entertainment (including the Comedy Gun Show) when deciding whether to bring your pet. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their animals.

How do I sign my child up for Mutton Bustin’?

Children must weigh 55 pounds or less to participate and may be weighed at registration. Registration will take place at the rodeo arena during the first bull riding show from Noon–1:00 PM. Mutton Bustin’ will take place at 3:00 PM. The participation fee is $25 and is paid directly to the rodeo company. Each participant will receive a back number, bandana, and buckle, and the winner will receive a trophy.

Where and when is the Drone Show?

The Drone Show is scheduled to begin shortly after 9:45 PM. The drones will launch from the area across Highway 377 from City Hall. For the best view, guests should find an open area within the downtown festival footprint with a clear view toward the launch area.

Will there be shuttles?

No. Shuttle service will not be provided for Celebrate Roanoke.

What happens if it rains?

Celebrate Roanoke is planned as a rain-or-shine event. Individual performances, activities, or schedules may be adjusted due to weather or safety conditions. In the event of severe weather, updates will be posted on the City’s website and social media channels.

Where can I get help during the event?

Any uniformed police officer, event staff member, or event volunteer can help or connect you with the appropriate person. Roanoke Fire Department personnel will also be stationed on the west side of Lamar Street and can assist with lost children, lost and found items, and basic medical needs. For emergencies, call 911.
